Hanging out with some friends in Jacksonville when they were going through this stage, I learned to appreciate some of it.
I like the old country songs (50s-60s), some of the bluegrass...I wouldn't buy it but I could tolerate it! haha

HEY! I'm from Jacksonville! And we don't listen to banjo music! The only time I ever heard banjo music I was canoeing down a river with some friends of mine. We met these guys who lived there and, well, I really don't want to talk about it anymore. Just remember, whenever you here banjo music, PADDLE FASTER!!!!

I grew up in a household where my dad played banjo and my mother guitar. They joined a few Country Gospel groups too along the way that included the sweet sounds of the mandolin and a steal string guitar ( I think that's what it's called) I could have done without the gospel verses but loved the sound.

Aome of my current favorites are: Katie Melua, The Weepies, Brandi Carlile, and Tom Petty. However, I'll listen to about anything.
